To the AcademyDo you work with ventilation, flue gas extraction or air supply? Then you are dealing with legislation. The Building Regulations (Bbl), NEN standards and CO certification determine how systems are designed, installed and monitored. On this page you will find the most important guidelines, practical explanations and tools to work safely and in accordance with regulations.
Laws and regulations form the basis for safe ventilation and flue gas systems. These include requirements for design, installation, inspection and maintenance.
By working according to the applicable regulations, you install systems safely, prevent risks, and meet the requirements applicable to your activities.
A small mistake in material selection, installation or assembly can have major consequences. Therefore, clear guidelines, practical documentation and expert knowledge help you to carry out installations correctly in one go.
You always work within legislation and standards. In the Netherlands, the Building Works Living Environment (Bbl) Decision is the guiding document for requirements regarding air quality, ventilation, and preventing the recirculation of exhaust air or flue gas. For ventilation requirements, the Bbl refers to NEN 1087 (new construction) and NEN 8087 (existing buildings), including provisions regarding the capacity and placement of openings.
If you are working on gas combustion installations (installing, maintaining, repairing or commissioning them), then you are also required to obtain a CO certification. This obligation also applies to work on air supply and flue gas extraction channels.
CO certification is mandatory for companies and professionals who work on gas combustion installations and associated flue gas discharge systems.
The certification shows that work is carried out safely and in accordance with fixed quality standards.
This reduces the risk of carbon monoxide problems and ensures a safe installation.
In flue gas extraction systems, proper support ensures a stable and safe installation.
The New Bending guidelines help you with the correct placement and fixing of the system.
A well-supported system performs better and complies with regulations. The manufacturer's assembly instructions always remain the guiding principle.
Installation regulations describe how a flue gas extraction system should be constructed and installed.
You can see exactly which components you are using and how to apply them correctly.
This way you install safely, work according to the instructions and avoid errors during assembly.
Do you have questions about CO certification, installation requirements, or applicable standards? Our specialists are happy to discuss them with you.
